Solar

The primary physical components you'll need for a PV solar system are the panel, the inverter/charge controller, and a mounting system.  All the industry's best are available from Green Alternatives.

You may also qualify for a USDA Grant (25%) or an Alternative Energy Grant from the state of Indiana (up to $100,000).

For details, contact us using the feedback form., or check out the grant programs yourself by following our Helpful Links.

If you don't see one that fits your need, please send us a request using the feedback form.

How do we select your hardware?

The main factor in determining how much energy a solar array will produce is the solar panel.  GAi designs in only best panels in the industry.  High-efficiency panels take most advantage of whatever area you have available.

But going cheap on other aspects of the system design after choosing an excellent panel can introduce losses.  That is why the choice of inverter is just as important as choosing a panel. The inverter's job is to take the DC output of the array and turn it into a clean AC signal that your utility company will allow on the grid.  Even in an off-grid system, the system should include an inverter so that common AC loads can be plugged in unmodified.

Also, don't forget the rack system, the hardware that assures your panel will be facing the sun at the desired angle regardless of exposure to wind and weather.

At GAI, we use our design tools & experience to set your system capacity, select a model and quantity of panels, match the panels to appropriate inverters and conditioning tools, and design & select the hardware required for reliably mounting all system components.
