10 kW array, completed

GAI worked with the Elkin Law Office in Kokomo to obtain an Alternative Energy grant from the State of Indiana APE Grant program.  We installed a 10kw solar array on top of the old 3 story brick building just off the Howard County Courthouse square.

The Indiana APE Grant program places a requirement on grant recipients to have an educational element to their installation.  As part of Mr. Elkin's educational effort (required by the APE grant), this website will follow the installation and performance of the solar system for at least the first full year of production.

The building has a nearly flat roof of 80' x 20', with the longer axis running E-W.   This gives the array excellent southern exposure.  Above are an aerial view and the view of the Howard County Courthouse from the panel's perspective.  To see Photos of the installation as it was in process, follow the "in process" links.
